Winter Running and Indoor Training

Happy Thanksgiving! We are extremely grateful for all the support from readers, event directors, and contributors that keeps RaceCenter going. We’re also thankful every day for what endurance sport has given us. From road and trail running, to Ironman triathlons and off-road cycling, we’ve been lucky to find joy, health, and mental well-being through a variety of opportunities. We’re thrilled to continue sharing our passion for the outdoors and helping others discover events that challenge them and connect with our community of athletes.

From time to time, we all struggle with motivation, and sometimes fall into the trap of comparing our training with others. Although “The internet would have you believe that everyone is jazzed about every run they’ve ever done,” this is certainly not the case! If you’re embracing rest days, especially during this time of year, keep a healthy perspective and “take this as your permission slip (if you need it) to slow down, especially heading into the holidays.”
